Campanelli Construction Begins Renovations on Two South Shore Facilities
Campanelli Construction, a full-service construction management firm, today announced that it has begun two renovation/expansion projects for longtime South Shore businesses; Symmons Industries, based in Braintree, Massachusetts and Zildjian, based in Norwell, Massachusetts.
In January of 2014, Campanelli Construction completed a 25,000 square foot renovation project for Symmons, a premier manufacturer of commercial and residential plumbing products. The renovation converted a former warehouse building into a hip, modern, high-tech space featuring exposed ceilings, abundant glass for natural light, low workstations and multiple collaborative working areas. Due for completion this summer, the latest construction will expand Symmons new modern, high-tech collaborative office space by 5,200 square feet.
“Campanelli was a natural choice for construction manager on our project. They have millions of square feet of experience in this type of construction and we knew they could successfully take this manufacturing facility and value-engineer the building into a contemporary office space,” stated John Graves, CFO of Symmons.
Campanelli Construction is also hard at work on a 9,000 square foot expansion for Zildjian, a world renowned, centuries-old manufacturer of musical cymbals. Zildjian, founded nearly four centuries ago, is the largest manufacturer of cymbals in the world. The company currently occupies a 75,000 square foot facility in Norwell, Massachusetts.
“We are thrilled to be named General Contractor on these projects, helping two great companies expand their facilities on the South Shore, said Jeff DeMarco, President of Construction at Campanelli Construction, “Both Symmons and Zildjian have a strong presence in our community, and it’s exciting to be working with them as they grow.”
Campanelli Construction is actively working on construction projects across the United States. Most recently they broke ground on a 250,000 SF warehouse and distribution center for Victory Packaging in Bellingham, Massachusetts. Other current construction projects include an 83,000 SF facility for Edesia in North Kingston, Rhode Island, and a 262 unit multi-family development at Upland Woods in Norwood, Massachusetts.
